Hanover Park Park District runs its summer day camps out of the Community Center on Walnut Avenue, split into Discovery (ages 4-6), Adventure (ages 7-10) and Teen (ages 11-14) groups, with programs reaching children as young as 3. All-day camp runs 8:00 am to 3:00 pm from early June through early August, and families choose either a 3-day or a full 5-day week. Camp Sunrise adds care from 6:30 am with breakfast, and Camp Sunset covers 3:00 to 6:00 pm with a snack. Registration is handled in person or by phone at the Community Center.

They have a small stage on the East side by the sledding hill where they play live music free of charge for anyone, all you need is a blanket or a lawn chair. They also have food trucks on site, by the stage for your convenience. You can go on their website for a complete entertainment line up. I just wish they would do something about the stagnant water and weeds right in front of the stage.
