We all picked our designs, it's nice that we didn't all have to do the same project. You can bring your own food & wine too, which we did, and I highly recommend doing. Heather, who owns the business & teaches the classes, was very patient & helpful when showing us what to do! She's also former military, and I love supporting veteran-owned businesses! What's great is that you don't have to be crafty at all or have any talent! With a little guidance from Heather, anyone can do this! Some of my neighbors in my new community & I are planning to go back & do another private party after the holidays because we had so much fun the first time around. There are endless designs & projects to choose from, there's something for everyone. And if there's something you don't see online, reach out to Heather & ask! We should of been there for about 4 hours, but it took us a lot longer due to our lack of skill and need for perfection and degree of difficulty of our projects. Amy and Keristyn were so patient and never made us feel like they wanted us to leave, even after the rest of the class had been gone for a couple of hours. Because the project I was working on was very involved and so was my sons, I really didn't have time to stop and help him too much or we would have been there all night, so Amy helped him every step of the way. She was so kind and patient with him and it really was amazing. We finally left our 10am class at 4pm that afternoon with some amazing projects in hand. I know we were tired and I am sure Amy and Keirstyn were as well and they had a 6pm class coming in after us. I cannot say enough about the new owners of Hammer & Stain Ocala. They seem to really love what they are doing and are so patient and helpful. We couldn't have gotten the awesome results we did without their guidance and patience. If you haven't been there you should definitely go check them out, not only to get an amazing, one-of-a-kind, hand made item, but also to support a local family business who truly deserves it! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. We will be back again and again to make many more wonderful things! Thank you both for your hospitality and caring!
