Haley's Little Fish
Private
Haley's Little Fish is a Daphne swim school teaching swimmers from six months old through adulthood, with survival swim lessons for babies and toddlers and advanced stroke lessons for ages 4 and up, offered year-round in a heated indoor pool. It is a year-round swim-lesson school rather than a kids' summer camp.

Powered by GoogleHaley’s Little Fish has been and continues to be an incredible experience for my daughter (7 almost 8). Her first month was rough, as is common when they are starting out, but now she asks constantly when she has her next lesson. Manu people are detoured by the 10 minute lessons, but I promise once you’re in there and see how much they do in that 10 minutes, it all makes sense. My daughter would have lost focus or become frustrated if she had went longer in the beginning. Now she had moved up to advanced lessons, which are 20 minutes, and it seems to be a great amount of time for her physically and mentally. Every instructor there is amazing, kind, and beyond patient. Ms. Chelsea was wonderful and helped my daughter get started her first month of regular classes. Now she does regular drop-ins with Ms. Cheryl whom she adores! That’s the other thing, it took me forever to finally get signed up for a package of classes. They fill up almost instantly so you have to be ready, but now that we do drop ins it works so well with our schedule (which changes constantly). They have grown so much since I first started following them, and for good reason. Anyone who goes to Haley’s, for actual classes, has nothing but incredible experiences to share. Most importantly we can all feel safer with our kiddos in the water. My daughter started afraid of getting water in her eyes and now she prefers to swim underwater like a little fish.
We LOVE Haley’s Little Fish! We started this little fishy at 6 months old and haven’t missed a month since. Just a few lessons in our girl learned to float. We made the decision to stick with lessons and not stop because we live on the river. Lessons have taught her to respect the water. She knows what her little body will have to do if she’s in the water alone. She will be 4 in October so she’s been swimming pretty much her entire life. Over the past 3 years we have had some incredible instructors who have become friends. Each instructor takes the time to know your child and make them feel safe and confident. I can say every instructor at HLF is top notch. I also think they all have different strengths and skills to help each fish grow to their potential. We are now taking lessons with Cheryl. She’s taking everything the other instructors have taught her and building on to make our girl a stronger swimmer. They work on back stroke, using “big arms”, and diving into the pool, just to name a few. If your child is already a swimmer but wanting to build upon those skills, I’d highly recommend Cheryl. She allows my child to enjoy her time in the pool while also making sure she listens and stays on task.
If you want to train and swim with an actual mermaid, look no further than Hailey’s Little Fish. The entire staff is phenomenal, but I recommend Ms. Cheryl. She is the best of the best. You know you have a good teacher when she looks more like she is flying through water than swimming in it. She is great with big kids and littles alike. Her focus on form and breathing techniques have taken my big kid from a nervous dog paddler to a confident freestyler. She is an excellent teacher. She is in high demand at Hailey’s, so I would keep an eye on their appointment calendar to save your spot with Ms. Cheryl. Hailey’s is the best swim school in Baldwin County, hands down. Other swim instructors rely on a public rec center to hold their lessons. Hailey’s has a designated private facility for lessons, with good parking. The pool is the perfect size for swim lessons for kids of all ages. Plus they have a glass viewing wall so you can watch from behind the wall or in the pool area for an up close look at instruction. And the water is warmer unlike other swim facilities. I highly recommend Hailey’s Little Fish and would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn to swim in Baldwin County.
Definitely the best decision I made for the security of my daughter around water. The team is awesome, all the instructors are super professional, caring and friendly. My daughter hated it for 7 lessons, she will cry during all the class, but now she is sooo excited and happy that she is going swimming, that is incredible!!! Really you have to trust the process! I recommend Haley's little fish to everyone with a kid 200%!!
Haley’s Little Fish is nothing short of incredible. I knew when we moved to south Alabama that we would often be around water, whether it be the beach or pools, and I wanted my 10 month old to be prepared for the worst. I was nervous for her first float lesson but Haley put me at ease and assured me that I would be surprised at how quickly babies are able to pick up the skill. She was right and after several lessons my baby was confidently floating in a swimsuit as well as when fully clothed. A year and a half later, Haley is teaching my girl to swim and teaching her 7 month old sister to float. I am beyond grateful for Haley’s positive, gentile, encouraging attitude as well as her knowledge. I wouldn’t trust anyone more than Haley’s Little Fish to teach my babies.
