The Gunnison Community Center is the City of Gunnison Parks and Recreation department's recreation facility and the base for its youth summer programming. Summer offerings are sport-specific youth camps in soccer, basketball and volleyball led by trained staff, alongside classes in swimming, gymnastics, martial arts and dance grouped by age and skill level. Registration for summer programs opens in the spring through the city's Parks and Recreation page.

★★★Adrian LarsonMolly is extremely rude. I strongly recommend against getting personal trainer services here. Gym staff shouldn't mock members for trying to get stronger, nor belittle their efforts to use the equipment in a reasonable manner. They especially shouldn't do so while enforcing rules that do not exist and violating rules that do. Contrary to her claims, my complaint to the front desk was not dismissed out of hand, and they said they will talk to her about playing nice. Hopefully that leads to her controlling her emotions like an adult and not letting them affect her civility or professionalism.

★Chris SThere are probably many good things about this rec center if you are looking for a big pool, children’s activities, and things along those lines. Unfortunately, I only came for the weight room. The weight room in this place is the size of one you’d expect to see at a small apartment building or a Quality Inn. There are a set of dumb bells, two benches to use with the dumbbells, two racks that are supposed to be used for everything (upper body, and lower), and 4 cardio machines. With only 5 people in the room, it was crowded. That’s how small it was. I have used community rec centers in states and counties all over the country, and I’ve never seen one with so little equipment. I paid $10 for the day pass, but left to walk down to another gym. Didn’t even ask for my money back. It wasn’t worth it.

★★★★★Danika MacGregorWe took our young children and had a great time. The staff was so nice and helpful. The pool is heated, great place for little and big kids. The gymnastics gym is open play and the basketball court. They have family changing rooms too!
