Traffic control could've been better because it was supposed to be one way and people were coming in all directions. They had a good variety on the concessions but they ran out of alot of stuff. Be prepared for the heat and dust. And bring ya wallets
The soccer fields are great day are in good condition and well-drained. There are not an overabundance of fields but there seems to be enough for the population demands in the Port Arthur Nederland area. Soccer is alive and well in the county and the surrounding areas
The fields are destroyed, several large cracks in the field. Some could fit a foot in there . Not safe for playing
Great place for kids to play Soccer. The fields can get a little damp, but there is plenty of parking and the restrooms are semi-clean. My only major complaint is the hot chocolate at the concession stand was watered down. The concession stand has a monopoly on hot chocolate so there is no incentive for them to improve their product. Which is a great lesson for your kids on the value of competition.
We've been coming here for nearly 8 years but it's just getting really disappointing. The volunteer coaches try their best but the organization sets them up for failure. Look at the pics. They won't even cut all the grass around the field and they refuse to paint lines or even kill the ant piles! Their response is to get parents to volunteer. The amount I pay to have my kids here is a TON and it goes up every year. To top it off we have to pay for mandatory fundraisers and all this money goes to the organization to deal with these things and they do nothing. Make sure you have a truck to drive in here too, they refuse to patch the road to get in and it's been worse every year. Really disappointing the organization itself and their refusal to deal with any issues is what's going to make me have to take my kids out. Update: I've added photos of the fact that they won't even put lights out on the outer fields so I'm having to be in my truck with the lights on for the kids to practice.
