Growing the Distance Summer Camp – A Truly Special Place My daughter attended Growing the Distance for the first time in the summer of 2025, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this camp. She was incredibly nervous at first—which only lasted a single day—because she immediately fell in love with the camp, and honestly, so did I. The activities at Growing the Distance are absolutely amazing. The staff clearly put so much thought into every experience. The kids aren’t just “playing all day”—although they do have a ton of fun—they’re engaging in enriching, educational, and imaginative activities. From foam parties and tie-dye t-shirts to tea parties and even bringing horses to visit the kids on site, every day is filled with creative, hands-on experiences that allow children to learn through play. What sets this camp apart is how much the owners and staff genuinely adore children. It shows in the way they communicate with them, the care they take in planning activities, and the joy they bring to every interaction. I feel completely confident leaving my daughter there each day, knowing she is in a nurturing and fun environment. My daughter, who has been notoriously reluctant about waking up in the morning since she was two and a half, eagerly hops out of bed for camp. And months after it ended, she still talks about wanting to return—this is February, and camp ended in August! That speaks volumes about how meaningful her experience was. I am moving farther away, but that won’t stop us. I plan to drive out of my way every summer to drop her off because Growing the Distance is that special. My daughter will attend every year she can, and I will share this camp with everyone I know. It’s rare to find a place where kids are genuinely engaged, learning, and loved—and Growing the Distance is exactly that. If you’re looking for a summer camp where your child will be safe, happy, and inspired every day, this is it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our three kids absolutely loved their experience at Growing The Distance summer camp this year—and so did we as parents! The staff is caring, energetic, and truly invested in every child’s growth. Each day our kids came home excited, talking about the activities, friendships, and lessons they were learning. We especially appreciate the balance of fun, structure, and positive values that GTD instills. It’s clear that this camp is more than just a place to spend the summer—it’s a place where kids can grow, build confidence, and be surrounded by supportive mentors. We’re so grateful for what GTD has poured into our children and family, and we’re already looking forward to next summer! Highly recommend!

Growing The Distance is a fabulous group of loving, intelligent, honest, and dedicated group of people!! I have nothing love and honor for Growing The Distance. This was my daughter's first opportunity to attend this summer. I can say it will not be her last. The over the summer education she received was awesome. Because of the wonderful team at Growing The Distance, my daughter's transition to kindergarten will be seamless. I have no complaints at all!!!

A Summer Staple for Our Family! This is Britton’s fourth summer attending Growing the Distance, Inc. (GTD), and I can confidently say this camp continues to exceed our expectations every single year. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth, structure, and a true passion for child development and fun! This years day 1 included a warm welcome from fluffy puppies The 10-week program—running from June 12th through August 22nd—is packed with nonstop excitement. Between weekly field trips, hands-on learning, and engaging daily activities, Britton comes home every day with stories, smiles, and sometimes even a new dance move or science fact! It’s the perfect blend of education and adventure, all in one place. As a working parent, I especially appreciate the 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM hours, which offer plenty of flexibility. The fact that breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided daily is such a thoughtful bonus. At just $150/week with a 9-week commitment (or $200 for drop-ins), GTD offers incredible value for the high-quality experience they provide. GTD isn’t just a camp—it’s a community. The staff truly gets to know each child and creates a space where they feel seen, supported, and celebrated. I can’t recommend it enough for any parent looking for a safe, enriching, and joyful environment for their child over the summer. We’re grateful for the lasting memories GTD continues to create for Britton year after year!

Growing the Distance is a awesome place! My child loved summer camp there last year. Also, the days school/day care are closed GTD makes it possible for our family to continue our daily schedules. Both my children are excited anytime they get to go to GTD. The staff are kind and great with children.
