★Jean VargheseI am deeply disappointed with AYSO. They placed my 8 year old (2nd grader) in a team with 5-6 year olds (kindergarteners). There was not a single 1st grader or another 2nd grader. Very poor planning on their part and when asked to bump her to 10U, they refused. I was also willing to keep her at 8U if she was able to practice with other 2nd graders. AYSO made no adjustments. The Area Director was willing to make the switch, but the regional commissioner was adamant and denied any adjustments. It was purely a power play. It is clear that the organization is not prioritizing children's developmental growth or their best interests, but is instead focused on financial gain.
