My wife and I came here to Waterfalls Spa last year before staying in Skaneateles for the weekend. This year were wanting to return to the Spa and thought we would just stay at Hope Lake Lodge and take advantage of the amenities after visiting the spa rather than having to drive to another location for dinner and such. I found a Spa and Stay package online and was trying to book online, it was a little difficult trying to click around to get the package linked to the room. I thought I had booked the package which indicated 20% off the room and a $200 spa voucher. When I checked in the guy at the front indicated that I did not have the package and didn’t seem to have a helpful option for correction. His manager came out and indicated she could correct my room to the spa and stay package for another $150. At this point I’m not sure the point of offering this as a package, almost seemed misleading. Anyway since we were already planning on this I felt I didn’t have much option but to pay the extra for the “discount package”. We got to our room which was decorated nicely, but the room seemed dated and lacked craftsmanship definitely far from a 5 star hotel. We went to the Spa and everything there was great, we booked a package there for a couples massage and a hott tub soak afterwards, my only complaint there is that apparently the jets for the hott tubs aren’t hooked up? Just seems like these details would be mentioned when booking things rather than finding out upon arrival. We then went to Carvers restaurant for dinner, our waitress Celeste was attentive and fantastic throughout our meal. My wife and I both ordered Filet Mignon, medium rare and medium. Both of our steaks came out well done and dried out. I literally had to wash my steak down with water each bite. All the food at carvers otherwise was good, just seems as when you’re paying $56 dollars for a steak without any sides the cook would get them right! We then decided to go to the bar outside of Carvers to finish out our evening, but wouldn’t you know it… they close at 10:00PM and a Saturday night. Anyway we got a few drinks for the hour we were able to catch it, the bartender Karly was fantastic and we enjoyed our time there grabbing drinks from her, just wish it was open longer! So in a nutshell Hope Lake Lodge seems to sell rooms for the “Amenities” yet unless your Skiing in the winter or hitting the water park I’m not sure the “Amenities” were worth it, seems like if you have people paying $400+ per night for a room they would offer some night life. I guess we really struck out on this one, definitely plan on looking into Turning Stone Casino or Tioga Downs for the Spa and overnight stay for next time. Both places appear to be cheaper anyway with much more amenities. Great Peak definitely prioritizing the cash grab rather than a 5 star location. Anytime I’ve ever gotten a room with a Kitchenette there’s always been at-least two bottles of water in the room next to a coffee maker, not here, you’ll find yourself at the vending machine paying $4/ea. And don’t plan to come back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed. A exceptional place to stay with kids. The staff is truly amazing. Weather it be Patricia at the front desk or Robert the aquatics director. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect.

This is a nice place and i do recommend staying here. There is quite a bit to do in the area and right on the resort. It is pretty clean and the staff are very helpful. That being said the suite we had included all amenities including stove/oven, microwave.... as well as all dishes, pots, pans and utensils. The only gripe I have is that some of the dishes, pots and other things used to cook had bits of food left on them. Whenever we rent a place that has these things we always wash everything first but it usually looks like they washed/cleaned the dishes before placing them back in the cabinets. That was not the case this time. Other than some dirty dishes we actually really enjoyed our time here.

Best skiing around! We much prefer Greek Peak over other local resorts and is well worth the drive. Wide variety of trails and terrain for every level with well kept snow. Nice lodge, good food, free parking, rentals, and helpful staff. Our family has been going here for 50 years and we appreciate the updates made each year. The lodge and water park make for a fun overnight or weekend trip!

We came for the day and had a blast. Waterslides were fun even though half the place was closed. The wavepool!? Come on! Staff was great, though. Nachos are just round chips with mild cheese sauce and pace salsa or something like it. Meh, not awful. Hot dogs were like the ones at a ball game👍👍. The chicken strips are great (my kid even ate them) and so are the fries but they cool down fast so eat them fast! Fill this place so they expand and put in a lazy river!!!!
