Great Bear SnowSports School teaches skiing and snowboarding at Great Bear Ski Valley, 6 miles northeast of downtown Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Children ages 4 and 5 take a 45-minute tot ski lesson, ski or snowboard lessons for ages 6 and up run 90 minutes with up to 6 students, and all are booked online in advance. The Great Bear Adaptive Ski Program gives people with special needs, including physical or developmental disabilities, 2-hour private lessons with equipment and a lift ticket, booked by application. The first adaptive lesson is free through an endowment at the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation.
