Kids and teens with disabilities learn to ski and snowboard with Granite State Adaptive through private lessons and group sessions, and it has taught children from local schools. Instruction takes place at King Pine Ski Area in Madison and Abenaki Ski Area in Wolfeboro, by reservation on weekdays and weekends. Seated skiers use mono skis or bi skis, and sighted guides accompany visually impaired skiers. The Wolfeboro nonprofit also runs year-round equine programs from age 3 and adaptive cycling in the warmer months.
