The Golden Spread Council is the local Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) council serving the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles from Amarillo. It owns and operates two camp properties, including the 1,600-acre Camp Don Harrington near Canyon in the Palo Duro Canyon system. Summer offerings include merit-badge resident summer camps and Cub Scout day camps for registered Scouts.
