The bunks are non sectarian, children of all races and creeds, get along in a happy camper atmosphere. Over the years it has changed somewhat. Campers are now permitted to be returnees and if they can afford to pay, they pay in part for their camp experience The makeup of the staff and the campers remains mixed. Counselors of many nationalities work at Golden Slipper Camp. The beauty is that everyone gets along. Whatever happens once they get home, everyone is happy enjoying camp. Prejudice does not exist here. It is a beautiful thing to see. No one notices differences in color or religion. Counselors make friendships that last a lifetime. Campers, too. The camp is funded and fed and maintained mostly by contributions from members of the Golden Slipper organization.
