The Glasgow Recreation Department runs a summer day camp at the Glasgow Rec Center, generally late May through mid-August. Days are filled with swimming trips to the city park, active playtime, crafts, STEM projects, and classes such as fishing, archery, bicycling, and wrestling, with breakfast and lunch included each day. Registration is through packets available at the rec center and Glasgow School.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Glasgow Recreation Department directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleReasonably priced yearly family pass prices. Excited about the new pool coming too!
Nice equipment and facility. Fanatical about wearing "outdoor" shoes inside. So beware of that policy.
Sauna & Hotub are perfect! However, you can expect to see butt nekked men in both. You will see them shave, rub lotion all over their body and read news papers. Very creepy experience.
Lots of mosquitoes at night, usually pretty clean and quiet park.
Ridiculous rules about shoes here. And they will scold you like crazy if you don't follow it. Machines are broken regularly. There's basketball, tennis and racquetball courts though. That right there is worth the small monthly price. Their actual workout equipment is lackluster though, except that their newly refurbished cardio room isn't bad. Also, there's no AC in most rooms which is crazy - like working out in a hot sauna!
