Generations Performing Arts Center
Private
Short-session summer dance camps at a Westerville performing arts studio, for dancers ages 3-12 with no previous experience required. Camps meet one or two hours a day for a week ($110 or $180 per week), with a different theme each week from May through August, including hip hop and acrobatics weeks for ages 3-10. These are enrichment sessions rather than day camps and will not cover a workday. The studio also runs summer classes and a jazz, lyrical and contemporary intensive for its Step One and Premier dancers.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Generations Performing Arts Center directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleMy 5 year old started mid season this year and had her first dress rehearsal last Friday. Her brother’s normally-on-time-bus was 30 minutes late due to a flat tire that we weren’t notified about, making her/us 30 minutes late to recital. As we walked into the auditorium her class was walking onto the stage and she burst into tears (she hates to be late to anything). Rehearsal is SO, SO busy and I was doing my best to console my girl but I knew there wasn’t a way to fix it- we missed it and I was not going to ask for any exceptions and that was that. But one of the rehearsal helpers quickly pulled me aside and said “in a little bit we’re going to have her class go back out and do the dance again so she can do it”, and I about cried. They in no way, shape or form had to do that for my daughter- one child in an auditorium filled of dancers. That rehearsal goes from like 3:30-8:30 at night- it’s no joke- and offering to run her dance again without me even asking about it was the nicest kindness. We are new to the dance world- my girl had never been on a stage before (info Generations probably didn’t even know)- and this hiccup could have been one of those moments that made her not want to pursue dance anymore, but thanks to their unsolicited kindness, it wasn’t. My daughter went home happy, excited and proud that evening, and that’s something I will always be thankful for. So if you’re looking for a dance studio, here’s your sign to check out Generations! My daughter has loved her class, teachers and friends, and I’m incredibly thankful for their kind hearts.
We are going into our eighth season with dancers at Generations, and we've had a wonderful experience. There are many options for recreational dancers, as well as though who want to compete/train more seriously. Recitals are beautifully done and run like a well-oiled machine. I appreciate the tasteful costumes, great communication, and helpful/friendly staff. Highly recommend this studio!
Both of my daughters have received excellent dance training from Generations as well as a place away from home where they truly feel like they matter! They are two entirely different people and dancers who have been able to hone their skills to the best of their abilities which speaks to the versatility of the Generations staff and their teaching methods. You will not find a more professional, more organized, or more caring environment to take your child to receive dance training. It truly is the best there is!
We have been a part of the Generations family for ten years now, with all three of our children taking classes and the experience has been nothing less than excellent. The dance training is top notch. The instructors emphasize strong technique while also making the classes fun for all students. There are competition level classes for the more serious dancer, classes for the recreational dancer, as well as classes for older beginners and even boys! The performances throughout the year are fun and meaningful to our family. We love the community involvement that Generations provides. The studio facility is welcoming and comfortable while the location is convenient to area schools, stores and restaurants. Each of our children has different goals for their dance training and we love how the teachers do whatever they can to make sure that these goals are met. This is truly a positive, family environment that not only teaches excellent dance but also helps kids to build strong character. I strongly recommend this dance studio for boys and girls of all ages.
My three daughters all took dance at Generations. We have been very happy with the teachers and the opportunities for a wide variety of levels of participation. The owners believe strongly in a wholesome, family-friendly, nurturing environment for the children to grow; this is their number one priority. I highly recommend Generations as the studio to introduce your child to dance. It's a great place to learn not only about the art of dance but also about team work and other important life skills.
