My son is having fun in mini Megs grassroots program, his coach Asif Khan is been great with keeping kids engaged at the same time teaching them game and discipline. This is volunteering based program and I appreciate efforts his coaches put in this program. Looking forward to more seasons.

By far the worst sports camp (soccer or otherwise) we’ve ever attended. Coaches were very unenthusiastic high school kids who constantly started each day 10 minutes late & had no game plan whatsoever each day. Wherever the head manager (who would just wander around, not correcting or encouraging staff/ kids at all) was gone, half the instructors would just hang out together in tent and not coach- just hanging out and chatting for 35 minutes. No focus or direction at any of the different age levels or any focus skills or games to get the kids to get excited about soccer, let alone improve. Had a good experience last year, but it’s absolutely collapsed and not the same thing. Stay away.

My son has been part of the U6 group this past fall as well as participated in the summer camps. I have nothing but great things to say about this organization. They are player focused, with a goal of helping each player meet their personal goals while developing them. Based on this, the coaches encourage parents to volunteer, including them in the curriculum. The only parents I’ve seen complain are the ones who are generally absent from the entire process, failing both to develop a relationship with the coaches and being clueless about the needs of their kid (with the kid usually telling the parent completely different things so to avoid being a focus of that anger). I’m so glad we have been a part of this youth soccer program and highly recommend it to anyone with a kid who is excited to learn how to kick a ball.

Our son has been with them for 3 years. His skills have improved tremendously. Also he loves the game. Fremont club is different because there is more emphasis on learning skills as opposed to winning games. I have seen kids transfer from very highly placed teams to Fremont club for this reason.

Fremont's Youth Soccer Club is better than all of the soccer clubs our kids have joined in past seasons. We have been around travel all soccer for over 9 years and have seen it all. We've stayed with FYSC because I like the fact that they focus on development of players. I like that there are no parent coaches on the sidelines, and that the focus is on individual skills and team work. I like the financial model that they use instead of paying league fees/coach fees/light fees/tournament fees separately without any accountability. My son has learned more from this league in the three seasons we've been here than all of the seasons he spent at other leagues.
