Forrestel Riding Camp

My six year old daughter has been riding at Forrestel for almost a year now. Using the word excitement to explain her feels for Wednesday afternoon riding sessions is an understatement. Her three year old brother is also eager to go to the stables as well, there’s always something to see or dirt to play in until he’s old enough to ride himself. The staff members are so kind and welcoming. During this past year she has learned so much through her full time instructor as well as some other instructors during the summer camp season. The horses (3) she has ridden are impeccable for her as a first time rider. I can tell Forrestel takes pride in their work, their stables and especially their horses. The lesson rate is hands down the best around. Honestly, I can not say enough amazing things about this establishment! I look forward to watching my children grow here as well as make memories here.

My daughter just returned from her second summer experience at Forrestel and should couldn't stop chattering excitedly about all of her adventures. She loves horses and was thrilled to have so much time riding and to improve her skills. More importantly, she loved the whole camp experience - the games, the camaderie, the community. Forrestel seems to attract a genuinely great group of counselors and kids - no drama or cliques - just good kids and good fun. She is already asking about next year!

Camp Forrestel was my daughter's first sleep-away camp experience, and she had such dreams and hopes, I was concerned she'd set her anticipation too high. I should not have worried, she enjoyed every moment, riding, tennis, biking, wood shop, bunking with girls and singing around the campfire, the games, all of it. Just wonderful! Her two weeks there are all she talks about when people ask about her summer. I hope she will visit every year and keep the friendships.

Forrestel is simply amazing. The horses are incredibly beautiful, Kat is a wonderful teacher and Mary was ever so kind as to let us mix and match weeks (even a part of a week) for our daughter who was coming back mid week from travels. My daughter also loves the woodworking classes and was thrilled Forrestel had room for her to do it again and gave her her favorite horse. Super highly recommended!
