Our oldest started with PNWK in 2021 and our youngest started this last September. We could not be happier with the loving teachers and the community that this school offers. We love joining events, like parent days and lantern walks to see more of forest school in action and really appreciate all of the photos and time to connect with teachers face to face at pick up and drop off to learn about how the day went. Even on tougher days, the teachers are supportive, reassuring and obviously care so much for their students. Our youngest is a bit more shy than his sister was and the teachers were happy to work with us and offer advice on how we can help him gain confidence with separation. We look forward to continuing to see him thrive here.

I liked the outdoor concepts and decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, one of the morning teachers constantly talks about creating a “loving” environment, but her actions say otherwise. She repeatedly sends toddlers home for minor issues rather than guiding or supporting them. There is no patience, no teaching, and no attempt to help the children learn through challenges. The approach feels hypocritical and not suited for early childhood education. Sent my kids to another proper preschool program and they are much happier, and confident now.

Sending our daughter to forest school at PNWK has been an absolute delight! Not only does she come home buzzing with excitement about sap and lichen, but she also asks thought-provoking questions like ‘is the sky the earth’s lid?’ This shows how much she’s engaged and stimulated by the learning environment. We appreciate how the school fosters an outdoor mindset, encouraging exploration and curiosity. One of the best parts for us as parents is feeling assured of our daughter’s safety while she’s there. The easy drop-off and pickup process add to the convenience, making our daily routines smoother. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our experience at the forest school. We had both of our kiddos enrolled in pnwk and while the first quarter went fine, things quickly began to feel unsafe. Our youngest expressed feeling unsafe and both our kids shared they were yelled at and treated mean by some of the teachers. When we brought it up to the management staff we were completely dismissed. We were blocked from having contact from our youngest when they were distraught or hurt. When we raised our concerns again with the staff, they refused to mend the issue, got defensive and immediately retaliated against us saying our kids were “suspended” from coming back. We immediately withdrew our kids from the program. The owner would not provide a refund for the future tuitions paid. This is not a licensed childcare program so reports cannot be made- BE CAREFUL. The fact that a childcare business would reply to a review with any personal information about my children is extremely inappropriate and further validates my concerns.
