Needs updated. The hot tub needs to be FIXED. The staff is lacking enthusiasm at the front desk. The life guard at the therapy pool had HEADPHONES on and could not hear ONE WORD anyone was saying and she didn't want to or she would have removed them. Headphones while lifeguarding isn't a good idea. Is it????????

It’s winter in Mississippi. We all know how warm it’s been. The AC is set to turn on 78 at 5:00. Yes, classes are in session. All the members (young & old) complain to the instructors. The instructors pass on the information and nothing is done. Covid wasn’t that long ago and we all learned about air circulation and how bacteria and viruses are passed. It is important for air circulation when co2 output is at a max and we are all in a confined space. 78 degrees is too hot. Ceo and coo are aware. They also have no idea how hard it is to do cardio in these conditions. Once again it’s summer and none of the air conditioners are working. Members try to stay ahead and tell employees (starting in March) that running the air at 68 and it only cooling to 75-77 means it’s not working. They get aggravated if we complain & argue that we are wrong. They move classes or cut classes short to accommodate organizations not affiliated with the y. When class numbers go down (due to reasons above) they threaten to cut instructors classes

My husband and I joined primarily for the pool amenities. However, we’ve noticed frequent swim meets scheduled that often take over the entire pool, sometimes even on weekends. It would be greatly appreciated if the facility could consider reserving one or two lanes for regular members during these events. Additionally, sending out electronic notices to inform members of upcoming swim meets would be very helpful. Thank you.

Great place for family. Everyone is friendly. Water aerobics is great for arthritis and neuropathy pain. I have lost weight and felt so much better. Before I started coming, I was walking with a cane. Now I don't need one. The YMCA has helped improve my life.
