Caruth Camp near Inglis is a residential summer camp operated by the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, on a 247-acre Gulf-coast property. Each one-week session serves about 36 boys and 36 girls ages 10-15, coed, with full scholarships so youth, many of them underprivileged, attend free through donor sponsorship.

★Alesa BalcomI sent my son here because i thought the program would help him, but it did complete opposite he came home acting very distant an stand offish, he told me three mixed boys were bullying him slapping him in back of the head no camp instructor did anything, they hid my sons water shoes from him until the last day of camp, one boy while playing i guess man hunt at night pulled his private part out infront of everyone, my son was on bus when it was rear ended, also when i dropped my son off at lick up location 45 mins later camp counselor calls me clail they dont know where my son was when he was on the bus already, then email sayspick up was 12 pm saturday i sat there until 5pm not one form of communication was told to any parent what was going on i had too personal contact 4 different people before i got any information....my son came home cussing a storm when he never did before. This program is meant too help kids and it didnt the camp instructors yall need to find ex cops or something because the instructors yall have the kids walk all over them an allow them too do whatever they want. Im highly pissed off an displeased with this progrma i told my son he would be safe there an it was the complete opposite. And then when my son called home for his bday he was too afraid to even tell me about said situations because the instructor stood right there an didnt allow him too talk. So yea and if i can find a way to leave a review of this exact info i will because again parents find this program as last resort too help their child not make them worse then the whole time yall didnt even do anything with them they sat in front of a tv. Update after reply. Yes i spoke eith a director but it is a lie about no screen time my son told me specifically they watched like 3 movies different days one day because someone forgot to get the arrows for archery so im sure your goal is no screen time but thats incorrect either way all these events still happened an parent should be aware to make logical choice to send the child here.

She also comes home more responsible by that. I mean that she does things without me having to ask her to do them.
★★★★★Catalyst JonesThis program is amazing helps the kids and teaches them life skills that they may have not had elsewhere. They provide role models for the kids, walk them through challenge courses, and have the kids do activities like high ropes, a springs trip, and even archery!
★trecia wLiterally the most boring unfair camp ever! They don't let us do anything, they control us like animals, and they give us no freedom. Then they want us to act like adults but they treat us like little two year olds. They make us walk all day, it’s always hot, and the counselors are always so up tight. I’m so glad i'm going home.
