Florida Baseball ARMory (formerly Florida Baseball Ranch) in Lakeland runs summer training camps for pitchers and hitters focused on velocity, arm health, and swing mechanics. Sessions are short daily blocks (about 4:00-5:30 PM) running weekly from June through early August, aimed at serious players preparing for higher-level play. Live at-bats against college pitchers are included for hitters.

Powered by GoogleTook my son here for 1 week as part of the winter training program. My son is a freshman in HS. Six weeks prior to taking him there, he participated in a HS PBR event where his top FB was 71 mph. In 4 days of the Winter Program at the Florida Baseball ARMory, his velo increased to 75mph. His velo went up to 75mph being there only 4 days! I can't tell you what changed, or how it happened, but the results speak for themselves. This place is the real deal. Highly recommended!
I have followed The Baseball Armory and its teaching for sometime now and when my son asked me if he could get his evaluation for his 13th birthday so that he could understand what he was doing wrong i was all in. My son loves all sport and is very competitive but was never a great mover. However knowing the armory could possibly help with not only movement but also help with being more athletic in general again I was all in!! My son knew it was going to be a lot of hard work and a constant grind to reach his goals but he was ready for the challenge. Randy, Dom, Joe, and Allen immediately went to work on helping my son get better. After doing about 2 months of local classes 1 or 2 days a week we all started noticing an athletashem that was never there. It was something he had fought through for years but just couldnt get the right control of the muscle to allow the proper movements. A few other mentions are his throwing and hitting ofcourse, became moving better and with more power equals success in any sport. During initial evaluation he threw 59.8mph max velo on the mound. After 7 months he is throwing a max velo STRIKE around 70mph and having more command of the zone; also a mention his throws to SB from behind the dish are super consistent. I had forgot to mention he is a catcher not a pitcher.. LOL although his coaches see it different because of the control he has on the rubber.. His extra work outside of practice and days in the gym are really starting to pay off because of the gift of movement he found at The Florida baseball Armory. However please be warned, you will get what you put into your work ethic here. Its not easy work and some days it will leave you exausted. Its not a magic pill. Just know that someone will be guiding you with years and years of experience. I cant say enough about The Florida Armory. Thanks again for everything you do and continue to do for everyone that walks in your doors. 5 Stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟
I took my son down 2 years ago for an assessment. It was 1/2 day and cost around $400. We found out he had very tight hips and we were given some things to work on. So that was good. The problem came after the meeting when we set in Randy's office and the upsell came. He was trying to sell us on a membership that included videos and a personalized program. He basically said if we didn't do it my son would never reach his potential. When we didn't bite on the upsell the meeting was over. He had no more time for us. A week later I sent him a quick question via email and he didn't respond. Overall I think Randy knows what he is talking about but I believe his main goal is to extract the max amount of money from his clients. PS My son was already committed to a D1 school when we got there and he is doing quite well without the $99 reoccurring monthly bill.
Son has been trusting the process at the Ranch for 2.5 years now. Started at 72 mph near the end of his 8th grade year and just hit 91mph in September of his high school Junior year! Committed to the University of Miami as a result.
Life changing for my 2017 graduate. Randy and his team are professionals in arm care, pitching mechanics, and mental preparation for any person whom wants to improve as a player. Since our first visit at the grand opening, March 2016, my son has completely eliminated a once nagging shoulder discomfort and increased his FB velocity and improved pitching mechanics. We highly recommend.
