My son has had an incredible transformation in his behavior, focus, discipline, and soccer skills since joining this club 1.5 years ago. Born and raised in Germany, playing and being trained there at an early age this club has been a perfect transition and fit for him. The reviews on here are very disappointing because they are fueled by disgruntled parents who have bounced from several clubs and try to destroy every club that they can’t run with their entitled selves. When we joined the club, these same people sang the praises of this club, but the more outsiders that came these parents became upset and began lying and creating drama. My son came with his coach (who is also an amazing coach) to this club. I just spoke to him and he stated that there is no coach anywhere around here who is a better skills coach than Coach Maria. I just find it disgusting that these people who have moved to other clubs are still trying to destroy this club. I have never seen people who refuse to move on and will lie to destroy a person, club, and children like these people. I’m not sure what their unfounded false accusations and motivations continues to be (I can only assume). These same disgruntled people were here for many years loving this club until they could not demand playing time for their kids. These Riptide players and people who are truly here for their kids to grow, train, and learn, not just start….won’t quit on a club who refuses to not quit on them and continues to build them into some of the best soccer players and athletes in Eastern NC! Those game records speak for themselves. We love this club!!! Try it for yourself.

Coach Maria is amazing. My daughter has been playing for her for 2 years and continues to show growth, on and off the field. I did not involve myself in the parent "cliques" and we have never been happier with a club!

This club has so many bad reviews on Rate My Soccer Club, but ask any of the MANY families that left about the club. The DOC continually talks bad about the players, parents, and other volunteers and takes no accountability for shortcomings but blames on others. Professional is lacking from this club. Try out other clubs and practices before you decide the DOC is such a good coach. Many players who left found much better coaches

My kids 8,8,4 joined the Snead Ferry Riptides in May of 2025. My two oldest started with the Recreational program along with my youngest which they had a little league for her age group. Eventually my oldest two kids moved to the Travel Program. From when they started and today, they have improved so much in not just soccer, but their endurance, confidence, and overall athletic abilities. Coach Maria and all the other coaches truly care about the development of all the kids from ages 3 and Up. They truly have dedication for their coaching position and develops all Players to the best of their abilities. My family and I enjoy what this club offers and we appreciate everything they do for our kids and the rest of the team!
