The after school program allowed her to do homework, and learn Taekwondo. We moved away from Iowa in 2020, and she was able to resume Taekwondo in another state. She is now a 2nd degree black belt and has a passion for the discipline, that was instilled by the FMAC family. I can't tell you how grateful we are for FMAC and what they did for my child. I read the other reviews with concern about complaints over cost. If cost is an issue, then call them to discuss what it might run you. I'll also say, that you usually get what you pay for. ★★★★★Michael StandfestThe title, Family Martial Arts Center says it all. They teach martial arts for the whole family. The instruction is excellent. The classmates become like family after a few weeks. Everyone is extremely kind. Classes range from 18 months through adult. The adult class is for ages 10 plus and has both young and several adults, with a nice mix. Students come from a variety of backgrounds and fitness levels, and you'll be surprised how quickly you will advance. We even broke boards in our first week of class!

However, can't say I agree with their business practices. I injured myself six months into a year contract and was unable to return because of the injury, even though I tried, and they were unwilling to let me out of the contract. It's still being deducted from my checking account. There are also a lot of young people there, which is fine for some people, but I prefer to work with those closer to my age.
