My daughter had a wonderful experience at the Exact ID camp on June 6th in Norco. It was a small camp and the Director and all the coaches did a masterful job of engaging the girls and really putting them to work . I believe that the process was perfectly laid out and being that it was a small camp gave the girls a really good opportunity to showcase what they can under pressure .

We completed the clamp in San Antonio on June 5. My son said the event was amazing. Felt very personalized gained a lot of experience small cohort of athletes large presence of coaches to be honest. I was very skeptical about this event because of an early cancellation, but I’m glad that we stayed with it because my son said it was invaluable.

DISCLOSURE: I have not attended an Exact Sports camp, but I have been inundated with emails from their marketing department because my daughter plays club volleyball in Raleigh, NC. The most recent camp they advertised in their emails takes place in town near where I live, so I looked around at the promotional materials, and the schools/coaches whose attendance is confirmed. The goods were NOT as advertised. They prominently display 9 Division I schools who are sending coaches/staff to the camp. Of the nine school/coach combinations listed, ONLY TWO listed personnel are currently on the coaching staffs of those universities - Ana Pego of Quinnipiac and Hunter Rock from Duquesne. Here is the breakdown of the schools, the coaches as advertised, and the actual status of those coaches: SCHOOL: Syracuse University LISTED COACH: Derryk Williams, Assoc Head Coach COACH STATUS: Derryk WAS an asst coach for Syracuse, and is the women's volleyball head coach at William Smith College, a Division III team in Geneva, NY. SCHOOL: Florida State University LISTED COACH: Devynn Merriman COACH STATUS: Devynn WAS at one time the Volleyball Director of Operations for FSU, but is now the Director of Football Finance. SCHOOL: Georgetown University LISTED COACH: Noel Carpio COACH STATUS: Noel WAS an asst coach for Georgetown for 2 seaons, but is now an asst coach for the Columbus Fury of the MLV. SCHOOL: Duquesne University LISTED COACH: Hunter Rock, Asst Coach COACH STATUS: Hunter is the Asst Coach at Duquesne Univ SCHOOL: Loyola Marymount LISTED COACH: Ben Lee, Asst Coach & Recruiting Coordinator COACH STATUS: Ben WAS the asst coach for LMU, and is now on the coaching staff at Raki Volleyball, a player development org in Huntington Beach, CA. SCHOOL: Campbell University LISTED COACH: Kayla Schanback, Asst Coach COACH STATUS: Kayla WAS an Asst Coach at Campbell as recently as 2022. I can find no record of her currently coaching volleyball at any school. SCHOOL: US Naval Academy LISTED COACH: Josie Andres, Asst Coach COACH STATUS: Josie was on the Navy coaching staff as recently as 2024. I can find no record of her currently coaching volleyball at any school. SCHOOL: US Air Force Academy LISTED COACH: Brandon Oswald, Asst Coach COACH STATUS: Brandon was on the Air Force staff for two seasons, and more recently has been as asst coach for Northwest Missouri State Univ. I can find no record of him currently coaching. SCHOOL: Quinnipiac University LISTED COACH: Ana Pego, Asst Coach COACH STATUS: Ana is currently a head coach at Qunnipiac. I kept hearing mixed reviews of Exact Sports. The positives revolved around the camp atmosphere, energy, and coaching the players received. The negatives centered around the cost, a high player-to-coach ratio, and the lack of actual recruiting and follow-up coming from the camps. I now know why. I've only looked into this one camp near me, and I have to believe this is a consistent practice --claiming attendance from big-name "Power 4" colleges, whose actual attending coaches have little-to-no connection with those school's current teams. (I did not look through all their advertised Division II & III schools.) I took the time to write this because I'm already grieved as a dad who is torn between loving and wanting to support his daughter in playing the game she loves, and feeling like an abused ATM by the volleyball industrial complex. Stay-and-play tournaments (essentially legalized extortion). Clubs that prioritize travel and flash instead of player development. One money grab after another. My advice is to steer clear of this company and any other until you've dug deeply to find out if they deliver what they promise.

My daughter 1st attended an EXACT volleyball camp in Portland Oregon. After the camp she was invited to play on 1 of the teams travelling to Spain in the fall. She loved the experience playing internationally and making new friends and teammates. Getting first hand experience with both international coaches and college coaches allowed her to become more comfortable talking to and training with different teammates. I would highly recommend attending at least one EXACT camp on your athletic journey. Now she has committed to play in the NAIA at Central Christian College of Kansas!

This camp was so amazing for my daughter. She was able to compete and receive amazing feedback from Coach Hudson. We will be going to another camp soon, once her season is over for Varsity.
