Powered by GoogleAn amazing dance studio that offers a variety of dance, theater and voice classes at reasonable prices. Teachers help each child become their best, while keeping it fun and engaging. It has been an incredible experience for my daughter, she has grown and learned so much since enrolling with Stars!
My daughter enrolled in the Evanston STARS! program 3 years ago. I have seen her personally grow in her skills & performances, including her dance competition teams she is involved with. She feels like she has a good group of friends with her at the studio & loves the Director of the program. We found the perfect group to challenge her extra-curricular activity & make friends along the way. I know as a parent who gets involved, we treat each kiddo like they are our own. We cheer for them & we help them with hair & makeup when needed! Love our STAR! family to the fullest ❤️
I put my daughter in this program because they have a good variety of dance classes. I never once had an issue with anything. I never had issues with the program until we decided to plan a last minute Disney trip. We had a pretty bad situation happen to our family back in September that our kids witnessed and we decided they deserved a trip away. Due to their dad and i’s work schedule, we couldn’t make anything happen during spring break. I let the dance teacher know a month prior to their dance competition that we had planned this and she would not be attending. I then got messages back from her teacher and the owner saying that they were pulling her out of the dance competition teams, which I totally understood, and they were also taking her out of the show (not competition) for those dances which I didn’t understand. I talked to other dance instructors and they were appalled at this and couldn’t believe it. After I let them know we were going on a trip, my daughter, who is generally happy, came home crying every night she went to dance. She said her teacher told the other kids that “- is going on vacation” and that “she will no longer be performing” in front of my daughters peers, which resulted in my daughter getting bullied and left out. I had a 45 minute phone call with said instructor who said “well haven’t you had a bad coach.” I was shocked. They also put my daughter in the back of the dances so I was confused as to why they would even take her out of a show that was put on for the community and for the parents. I have a bank charge for 24 dollars because I took my daughter out of the dance studio completely and after everything we went through with the studio I was just over it. Overall I do not recommend this dance studio and my daughter always preferred the other studio in town.
We love the STARS family! We started out with young kids in toddler activities and have easily transitioned to the older and advanced classes. Our kids have all participated in the Musical Theater classes. Now we have one child doing competition teams and technique classes. Everyone looks out for each other and each other's kids. It's very focused on dance and technique as well life skills that you get from being involved in sports. We are so thankful for all of these people.
STARS! has been great for my kids! All four of my kids have participated and have learned some awesome skills. My daughter loves being an All-Star and likes being involved in as many classes as she can. She has learned and grown so much through the STARS program! Highly recommended!
