Eureka Springs School of the Arts (ESSA) is a nonprofit art school whose workshops are mostly for adults, but its Young Artist Program extends hands-on arts education to youth. Partnering with local schools, it welcomes young students into its studios for guided workshops in disciplines such as ceramics, printmaking, stained glass, metalsmithing, and blacksmithing.

The class was small with a lot of attention from the instructor and supervisor. The instructor was knowledgeable and very helpful going over the fundamentals of welding. I learned a bunch about MIG welding and we went over TIG, stick and torch welding. We dove head into hands on training and got some great experience welding a few pieces of steel together.
