You guys get one star because your encounter cove box truck driving down 65 highway was being driven by a guy that loves to use his phone. The rumble strips on the highway should let him know that he’s out of his lane. Hopefully you guys operate everything else in the safer fashion.

We just enjoyed another fantastic weekend at Encounter Cove. Though we've been regular visitors of E.C. for over 20 years, then Windermere, the hard work and improvements under the new ownership is very apparent. We stay in the family cabins that overlook the cove. From new appliances and furnishings to renovated buildings, and upgraded amenities, you're sure to have a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the pool, the new Wibbits, and the new waterslide. Our kids, ages 6-20 wore themselves out! We enjoyed meals at the Grill, and ice cream after dinner. Some of our larger family group brought their boats down, where slips are available, and we enjoyed tubing, skiing, and even took the trip down to HaHa Tonka on the water for a short hike. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed wildlife viewing all around the cove, although you can rent kayaks and paddle boats onsite. There are several other activity options too, as this campus serves as a youth summer camp and hosts weekend conference events. One of the best parts of it all is that it's a private, Christian owned campground so you'll have a peaceful stay, set apart from the typical lake party crowd. Encounter Cove is our recommendation for a family friendly stay right on the Lake of the Ozarks!

I recently had the opportunity to visit Encounter Cove for a men's encounter event, and my experience was outstanding. The facilities were exceptionally clean, and the main building was well-designed and suited my needs perfectly. The staff provided excellent service—always attentive, helpful, and professional, making the event even more enjoyable. Although I didn’t get the chance to explore the nearby lake, I look forward to returning and experiencing more of what Encounter Cove has to offer. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this venue for retreats and similar events.

We came with our camp called Newday of about 150 students and had an absolute blast!! Our campers loved the cafe, pool, lake and ropes course! But most importantly it allowed us to give space for the Holy Spirit to work and he absolutely did! We had a very impactful week here that I know our students will talk about forever. Hoping we’ll be back next year!

This was truly one of the best weeks of my life. I went with our church youth group. The meals were good with solutions thought of to make things run more smoothly as the week progressed (like an extra fountain!). The outdoor spaces were perfect for playing games with the grass cut nice. The lodge was nice with clean rooms. The auditorium was a fantastic space and the water areas were fun. The lake obstacle course was a big hit! But most importantly were the amazing owners and her office staff. They treated me with such compassion and love and I felt safe when I needed it (medical issue) and one staff member even gave me his own personal item to help me get through until my overnight package arrived. That is Jesus'love right there! Thank you all for a great week and I love what you are doing here!
