My son plays CB in college. We were looking to find someone to help him improve his technique. We were very lucky to have found Derrick. By my son's own admission, his technique improved 80% after working with Derrick for a little over a month. This is after working with college coaches for a year. I have been around football for a long time, know many current and retired NFL and college athletes, and have been through the recruiting process with my son. After seeing both Coach Derrick and Coach Ernest work and seeing the results, I am Extremely impressed. Derrick is a no-nonsense guy. He doesn't sugar coat anything. He tells the athletes what they need to hear. Which is what it takes to get to the next level and excel there. His football IQ is exceptional. His holding the players accountable is consistent and unwavering. But, what impresses me the most is his PASSION. He is passionate about the game of football and seeing your son excel at it . The only negative I see with Elite Football Academy is that there is only one Derrick Tatum. As more of his guys become successful, he will become less available. I've already talked to him about working with players in the middle Georgia area next year, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So, my advice to you is don't wait.

My son started training with Elite Talent Football Academy in January. The first time we visited I was convinced that this was something different. A program that teaches position specific techniques and then provides an arena for the athlete to perform what he's learned in 1 on 1 and 7 on 7 live play. It's like my son is really getting another season of experience under his belt, but he's being taught by a pro who is excellent at communicating and teaching challenging aspects of the game. Coach Tatum brings solid NFL and D1 teaching to all of the athletes. It is very up-tempo and challenging. On the field, Derrick pushes the kids hard for excellence in all phases of their game. Off the field he cares for the student-athlete and helps the parents understand the different aspects with regards to college recruiting and getting your child into the best position possible for a scholarship.
