The Edenton Steamers, a Coastal Plain League collegiate summer baseball team, run a youth summer baseball camp at Hicks Field where kids train with the team's players and coaches. Campers receive a free Steamers T-shirt and a game ticket, and get to meet the team and run onto the field before a game.

The Scouts did first pitch, got signatures, played in the out field, and slept under the stars after a movie. One of the players even hit a few balls for them after the game on his way out. It meant so much to them. The teams are always so kind. We appreciate the opportunity we get to be able to enjoy these games in our District. Thank you Edenton Steamers for always making these youth so happy!
