Eastside Tennis Center in Kirkland is an indoor facility opened in 2012 by the nonprofit Tennis Outreach Programs (TOPs) to bring affordable, year-round tennis to the eastside, with six full-size and six youth-size courts. Its junior program covers ages 3-18 from first-timers to advanced players, teaching skills through age-appropriate drills and games, and includes a Tiny Tots track for ages 3-4 and an Eastside High Performance program for competitive juniors. TOPs offers summer camp options alongside its year-round classes, plus adaptive tennis and financial assistance so cost is not a barrier.

I was playing 3.0 past month and registered for 3.5, which the website allowed I entered the court and coach didnt let me in. It was frustrating to be denied at the court after my registration was accepted—especially since I’ve been attending the 3.0 class here. If 3.5 requires coach approval, could the staff flag these mismatches earlier so I don't set aside time for a class I can't join? Good to know that you have high bar and lack of customer support and common sense. Denying on the court is the most disrespectful way to enforce any bar.

Classes were slow (same game the whole time with little actual coaching) and the balls were unacceptably dead. Challenging to book courts, tho this is admittedly common for public courts in the area.

One of the best tennis places out there. I live 20 minutes south, but even that doesn't stop me from coming here. Great teachers include Jeremiah, Tim, and Andrew. It leans on the expensive side more, but it is all worth it. A problem is that you when you come home, you need to shower because there is some type of mold there and it goes into your hair and etc. Also, you need to sign up for classes one month in advance at exactly 9 AM one month early. Overall, I would give it a 4.8/5, but rounded up is a sweet 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This place is a mixed bag for youth tennis. The good: The facility is fantastic. Tons of courts, easy to navigate, great parking. There are some very good youth instructors that are deeply engaging of the kids and will take extra time when they see a child struggling with a lesson or technique. The middling: Recently it has been a revolving door of instructors. My child had the same instructor for four months - they learned the routine, the games, and the instructor had a chance to get to know each child in the class. That stability was great. Recently, however it has been a revolving door with new instructors every week. Some are super engaging while others just mail it in and have the kids rally for nearly the entire class. The bad: You pay for a year membership in advance, then pay for specific classes on a monthly basis. The problem with how they do this is that everyone is given equal priority to sign up for classes at the exact same time - there is no opportunity for kids in a specific session to be prioritized for that same session the following month. They just open registration for everyone at the exact same time, and parents race to get their kid into a slot. So the worst case scenario is the one I'm in where I've paid for a "membership" but there are no classes available for the child associated with that membership.

The pricing is affordable, the availability is convenient, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The facility boasts plenty of indoor courts with top-notch surfaces, perfect for a seamless game. It’s an awesome spot for both kids and adults to stay active and have fun!
