The East Gadsden Community Center runs an eight-week summer day camp through Gadsden Parks and Recreation for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The camp provides a safe, active environment with skill-building activities, held Monday–Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm from early June through late July. Early registration earns a discounted rate.

★★★★Julie Kay NelsonI really appreciate this community resource...I am there once a week to teach art to adult artists with special needs, and the classroom environment is bright, always clean and tidy, and spacious. The waiting area is also, plus it is large. There seems to always be people playing basketball or taking a movement class on the courts. While I don't use the gym as part of my work, I have peeked in and that area is spacious and clean. There have been some thoughts from others that more exercise equipment is necessary. The center hosts a summer camp for kids, and that is a nice program. I do not know if there is a cost associated with that.

Regardless of how we vote, it's still so important to make your voice heard. Our community center has ample room for many people. Love the huge "basket" outside for cardboard collection. Really wish that the bin would be closer to the rails so it'd be easier to toss in boxes, etc., for recycling ♻️.
