Wilderness 101 was a great overview of many survival skills with about half the time practicing hands-on skills and the other half lecture. There was so much to cover so you don't become an expert in any particular area but it left me wanting to dive in more. As an avid Backpacker and Scout leader, I'm looking forward to sharing the skills I learned with Scouts and using them on future backpacking trips. If I had one criticism it would be that I felt the class size was a little large, and given the rainy weather we were a little cramped under a pavilion, especially when playing with knives :). Wish we could have spread out a bit more but the content was phenomenal. I can't wait to sign up for a more in depth course to build more skills.

Been a few times. Did the arrow making class yesterday with Ross. The place is a gem and a soul cleanser. Its nice to spend a day with like-minded people out in the woods. Humanity could use more of this.

Earth Native is such an amazing school and program for people of all ages. My son did their weekly homeschool program for three years and we also took weekend classes. The staff are kind, knowledgeable and supportive. They are the kind of people you look for as mentors for your children. Summer camps always seem like they are active, thriving, and full of memories. Definitely worth supporting this wonderful group of people and the work they are doing to give children such a positive impact on themselves and the natural environment.

You never know when you might fine yourself stuck in a situation that may require basic survival skills. Which was why, Mom & I signed up for the two day Wilderness Survival 101 class. Dave S, Charlie, & David taught us different techniques on fire making, filter water, shelter building, & identifying edible plants that’s native to Texas. These basic techniques will help us stay alive when stuck in an emergency situation. Because English is a second language for Mom. All three instructors did a wonderful job communicating with Mom by explaining/demonstrating/ or gesturing on how to do etc... Thanks for being so understanding guys. We had a blast & look forward to taking future classes with you all at Earth Native Wilderness School.

My son has attended Earth Native Weekly Nature school for 4 years (now called Wild Outside). It has been incredible experience for him, life-changing even. The staff are incredible. They have had such a postitive influence on him. He's more resilient, confident, courageous and mentally strong as a result of his time spent learning in Nature with these wonderful, kind people. He has learned so much about the world around him, it is astonishing. I feel like sending him to Earth Native is one of the best things I have ever done for my child.
