While staying here for a Girl Scout trip, we experienced incredibly unprofessional behavior from the camp's manager. She approached our group visibly angry, raised her voice, and acted aggressively in front of very young children. She immediately accused a father of entering the girls restroom and older girls of entering the men's restroom. Had she checked the facts before reacting, she would have learned that a father was simply checking on his 6- and 8-year-old daughters by cracking the door, and then brought them into the men's restroom so he could supervise them safely. To escalate a simple situation into a loud, hostile confrontation around young children is unacceptable for a campground management team. UPDATE: Since posting my initial review, I feel it is vital to share the full extent of this management's toxic behavior. From the moment we arrived, we were never greeted with kindness—only with a nasty attitude and rude, uncalled-for comments every time the owner approached our group. When the original restroom incident occurred, she stormed in looking as if she wanted to physically fight someone, completely disregarding the fact that she was confronting 4 adults and 14 young children. When I explicitly asked her why she thought it was acceptable to act this way and raise her voice around children, she aggressively snapped back, "so they all know"—proving she intentionally chose to target and intimidate the entire group of kids over a situation that only involved one father and his two daughters. Furthermore, she is entirely incapable of taking accountability. When my husband pointed out a sign inside the men's bathroom that explicitly instructs men to enter the women's room to get supplies, she stammered and deflected, claiming "someone else must have put that up there." When we asked for a contact number for anyone above her to report this behavior, she flatly refused to provide it. The emotional fallout for the children has been heartbreaking. We had young girls who were genuinely terrified of this woman, refusing to leave their cabins. During camp activities, small children were anxiously asking if they were going to get in trouble because of her. She is aggressive, hostile, quick to make false accusations, and completely lacks the self-control required to work anywhere near children. She is entirely unfit for leadership and needs to be either thoroughly retrained or removed from her position.

Had a hostile experience from management with little ones. First of all, management does not appear to care about any of the dilapidated infrastructure throughout the camp. No running water, no fire alarms, broken cabins and gathering areas all over, trash littered throughout the camp. Camp manager also came pounding on our door to verbal assault a bunch of pre teens and younger girls because one of the men in our group took his 5 year daughter old into the male bathroom, which I guess was bad.

We had our wedding at the Methodist Camp! Nicola and Kevin (the camp managers) were incredibly helpful throughout the entire experience. The camp came clean and had a number of items we needed to host a fantastic event. I highly recommend using this spot as your venue.

I have been going to this camp for many many years, and I have never had a bad experience. I mean, yeah, bugs. But thats to be expected. The cabins are heated and showers are hot, I say that's pretty fantastic as far as camping goes. 😊
