We were in town on vacation and used this Y. The staff was very friendly. The facility was clean. It’s just more dated than the facility were used to at home. Thank you to the staff for treating us kindly and making us feel welcome.

🔥WARNING: Do not give your bank information to the Dryad YMCA. My dayghter moved away from New Orleans and has been attempting to cancel her membership since April 2025 without success. Despite repeatedly filling out the official paperwork and following their online cancellation procedures, they continue to withdraw monthly fees from her account. It is incredibly frustrating to follow every "official" step and still have her money taken. Save yourself the headache and be very careful with how you handle payments at this YMCA!

My mother attends the YMCA, it's an amazing facility. she boasts about how she can workout and swim. She's loves the pool, it has been her favorite thing to do since a child. The guards are wonderful, very polite and on guard at all times. I appreciate that because my mother is old and I can't be there to watch her all the time. She talks about one guard in particular that's been a great help to her, her name is jernika (sorry if im misspelling it) she talks about how she is always watching her and giving her advice on what she can correct and how to save herself or others in case of emergency. I appreciate the entire staff!

This YMCA is a great hidden gem in New Orleans. It was about a 10 minute taxi ride from the French Quarter, I could not find an outdoor pool open, That would let me swim, it was November, this YMCA was all I could find close to my hotel. the water temperature was cool great for swimming laps, got in 3000 , they honored my YMCA pass from home and I did not have to pay. The lady at the front desk was kind of a hard ass, slight language barrier, always hate when people expect you to know the rules when you just told them it was your first time here. They made me shower before I could get in the pool.
