Private
drawchange is an Atlanta 501(c)(3) nonprofit running summer and school-holiday art camps for children ages 5-9, built around art-therapy-informed projects with stated aims of imagination, collaboration, self-esteem and stress relief. Camp includes snack and lunch and is staffed by background-checked teachers. The organization runs art programs in homeless shelters and brings children from Atlanta shelter programs to camp on scholarship; limited full scholarships, funded by a City of Atlanta Youth Development grant, are open to children who are unhoused or attend an Atlanta public school with free or reduced lunch.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact drawchange directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleI have been working at Drawchange as an intern this summer, and it has been a great experience. The staff here genuinely care about what they are doing and work hard to help the underserved community. While working at the shelter, I can see how the art therapy that Drawchange provides brings hope to the children. The work that Drawchange is doing is truly meaningful, and I am very glad to be a part of this organization.
I’ve enjoyed every second of working behind the scene at drawchange as an intern. The team that I worked with is very passionate and dedicated to empowering children, and they give care and respect to the children they work with down to the smallest detail. Everyone cares genuinely about the impact of their work and is always eager to assist. It was an absolute pleasure working with these amazing people to make changes in the community! I highly recommend drawchange to all volunteers and donors.
Being a part of drawchange has been a life-changing experience! Everyone that I have met through drawchange has been so warm and genuinely invested in empowering children. The effect that drawchange has on children all around the world is amazing! I have seen this organization's impact on children after just one hour. I am so proud to be involved with drawchange and encourage anyone interested in doing so!
This is an amazing organization to be a part of! Working with drawchange is such a rewarding experience as you unravel the story of these children through their art expressions. As a former intern and current volunteer, I love working with the children and working behind the scenes of this awesome organization. Jennie puts a lot of thought and effort into creating a magical experience for homeless children all over the world. Go drawchange!
I recently started as an intern with drawchange, and although I haven't been here long, I can already tell you what an amazing impact drawchange has had on the children that participate in the program! The activities each week are all well thought out and tailored to the children and what they are going through in their daily lives. Activities also allow the children to think of the big picture and what their hopes and dreams for their future can be. Being an intern I also see how dedicated the whole team of drawchange is in making sure that the children are getting the best experience possible. It is an amazing organization and I wish them every bit of success!
