Downtown Art Place
Private
Downtown Art Place (the DAP) is a community art center at 111 E. Aurora St in Ironwood with a two-level gallery and gift shop, open Tuesday through Sunday 12pm-4pm and closed Mondays. Its DAP Classroom runs art classes for children and adults across a range of media, including pottery classes, with child-friendly subject matter designed to keep young learners engaged and build lasting confidence in the arts. The center lists classes rather than a summer camp program; contact the DAP to confirm current youth offerings.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Downtown Art Place directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

From my Previous Visit, I decided to check for myself to see what New. And as I got there, one girl. Who is from Ukraine and goes by the name of Maryna, looks at me and said that I look Suspicious and I said “Ma’am, I am just checking to see what New.” After that being said, she has stopped talking and another staffs. Also ask, if I am waiting for someone. When I am just still browsing and I said no, I am just browsing to see what New.
Maryna, if I could use her name. Is so Rude, she didn’t even Greeted me for Walking into the Gallery and I also told her that I have a Photo. That I would like to Sell & Speak to the Boards, she told me that the Gallery isn’t a Store and she also told me to go sell my Stuffs at a Market. Who takes Art and she also even questioned me, where I am from and she also kicked me out of the Gallery for no Obvious Reasons. She also ask to see my Art and she said “I have seen, so many Art like This. Your Art is the Same as Everyone, Nothing New and we Only Take Good and Perfect Art.” After Kicking me out for no Obvious Reasons, she has forced me to Grab my Stuffs and told me to have a Nice Day. If I were you, do not talk to the Boards and Do Not Sell Your Art at this Place.
A very nice gallery full of a variety of fine art, craft and gifts! The staff were friendly and provided helpful information about the art as well as the community. Located in downtown Ironwood, with lots of parking close by.
Every town should have a place like this! To find such a community friendly art place in a smaller town like Ironwood is amazing. Worth a visit to view and purchase local art and jewelry. If you spend time at a cottage or camp in this area it seems like it would be fun to take a class here if you can plan ahead for it. This is only one part of the revitalization of downtown Ironwood. Residents and community leaders have much to be proud of.
this place was awesome. Great food, great service, nice ambience, and very pleasant staff. I highly recommend this place to all my friends relatives, colleagues, co-workers, etc.
