Discovery Zone Kids
Private
Discovery Zone Kids is a childcare center in Evans serving infants through school age, open Monday-Friday 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Its summer camp for school-age children is built around ten themed units with arts and crafts, music and movement, and homework help during the school year. Open-enrollment childcare rather than a specialized camp.
The practical details
We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Discovery Zone Kids directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleBoth of our children have been enrolled at DZK, and we have had a positive experience with both. The center is reliable, the staff cares and knows the children, and we know they are safe. From the very beginning with Ms. Audrey to the preschool room with Ms. Angie and summer camp with Ms. Shana, our children have been well cared for on loved.
My daughter loves going to daycare! They send updates and pictures through the app all the time. We’ve had a great experience.
While the daycare looks nice from the outside, the management and interior need a major improvement. After many calls to confirm my sons start date, I got there on his first day and was greeted by a man who had no idea what to do with us. He found a teacher who scrambled to find my child’s room. The teacher in that room had no idea she would be getting a new kiddo. She was very kind, but our first day experience was severely lacking Our son was here for three days. The room they had him in was COMPLETELY bare - nothing on the walls, and a handful of toys thrown on the floor. The directors response was “they get hurt with too many toys” and “they climb on things”. They moved him to “the room with toys” as the owner put it PER MY REQUEST. I told her there should be NO children in that bare room. And that we would not be returning. On my first day picking him up, the teacher almost brought me an newborn (not my child). None of the teachers knew who my child was after three days. Their staff continued to the me how short staffed they are. Keep looking for a better daycare for your sweet babies. This one isn’t it.
Ms. Audrey is an absolute dream. We put our little into Discovery Zone as soon as maternity leave ran out. I was so nervous and wanted her to be safe. More than anything, safe. We passed our little one over and Ms. Audrey assured us things would be okay. 4 months later, baby is sitting up, crawling and laughing. Every drop off was great and baby smiled every morning and afternoon. When we got orders to PCS from the area, my heart was so sad at the thought of leaving such a great place. As a first time mom, there were so many concerns but the center communicated well through the BrightWheel app and kept us informed. I wish we could’ve stayed longer or taken them with us as it is so difficult to trust others. 10/10 recommend to anyone, if we ever go back to the area, we’ll reenroll for sure!
I’ve had my kids here before they were able to go to vpk. I chose this location due to it being close to my house. I’m not sure what the complaints are about lunch money, it’s free. And the cook does a good job at seasoning the food as well, the kids love it. I love the vpk teachers, they’re patient with the children and will work with them on whatever you ask if it’s in their means. My son knows how to write his name and he has only been in the class since August. I’m sending my youngest son here next year as well.
