science destination charged twice on my credit card and I sent lots of email with no reply. And nobody pick up the phone also.

We payed 848 for 2 kids, one cant go there for some reasons but they can not refund, the other went there for one day and it was all day in a half basement with no fun at all. Theme was space and astranaut but they just play with paper cups and tapes, 5 yo mixed with 10 yo, some don't understand anything teacher said the others were totally bored. Basically we wasted 800 dollars.

My daughter has been going to this science camp for the last three years. She's been there at 5, 6 and 7 years old. She absolutely loves it and the camp really has her loving science! She loves the projects, activities and the teachers. The teachers are knowledgeable, very kind and very attentive to the kids. Drop off and pick up is organized, safe and easy. This is a camp she will definitely continue attending every summer.

We were at Destination Science, El Segundo. This is a great camp for the first year, now that my kids are in it for the second summer, the material is pretty much the same, since they've already learned most of the concepts, they are quickly loosing interest. Don't think we are coming back next year. This camp is certainly not cheap!! I understand part of the cost goes toward the material they've to provide for the projects. However, even the extended care are a lot pricer than other camps; you have to pay for AM & PM care seperately, and for those parents who both work, the price quickly adds up. Not to mention the fees does not include any snacks or lunches. The way the El Segundo program is managed seems a bit dis-organized, the room assignments are not posted on Monday morning; the entrance doors are constantly changing without any notice. There is no way to contact any staff except the Destination Science 1-800 number. Some of the young conselors get a bit frazzled with the project itself when there are parts that they cannot account for. The process needs work and definitely can improve.
