Powered by GoogleDesert Sports Center is an excellent establishment for teaching young and high schoolers volleyball. We truly appreciate the presence of a volleyball club in our local area. My child has learned a great deal from their time there, not only from the coaches but also from the high schoolers who volunteer their time to demonstrate various techniques still in use. This hands-on approach enhances their skills and overall playing abilities. Additionally, they offer spring and summer sessions to help players maintain and improve their game. It’s also a very nice gym if needed to rent out for events or parties during off-season of the club.
My daughter played here for 7 years. Great experience!! Best coaching staff in the desert. Gave her the opportunity to travel throughout the country with a top rated club team for several years.
This is a well maintained sports center. Location is somewhat off the main freeway in the palm desert area. Played a volleyball tourney at this location. For the size, it was a bit too small. There were 8 teams and no room for our equipment, so we placed it under a bench. By the afternoon it was stuffy, so the air flow wasn't great. Had to eat outside on the sidewalk in front of the facility, no tables to accommodate. Staff was friendly, bathrooms adequate. For day to day use its probably ok, but for tourneys it's definitely a stretch.
Wanted to get my daughter into volleyball and what a great place! It is late in the season and yet they welcomed us right in and she joined a team to train with them right away. Staff was really nice to my daughter and made her feel welcome, and not afraid to join girls who had been there for a while. We'll be signing up for summer camp to get her ready for next year too!
Overly hyped and overly priced ! If you are looking for a " community center experience " this is the place ! The bad news it doesn't come with a community center price . Most of the coaching staff consist of former high school players with some community college playing experience. Most local high school teams could easily beat . Club has a history of losing. Look at past performances lots of losing. They would tell you it has to do with the lack of players in the valley . and that;s partially true . ( I do want to give a honest review ) I would say it's also coaching and the culture of the club that is a big contributor to to many losses . Be careful " Pay with Care " ! One last tidbit club has these special relationships with local high school coaches many are on the payroll . In the business world it's called collusion . They tend to influence the young athlete into joining DSVC , HMMM , wonder why ? Is it because the very coach is on the DSVC , payroll ? Answer is YES ..
