The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum runs week-long summer camps at its Tucson campus, with four elementary weeks (two in June, two in July) on themes such as Habitat Heroes and Desert Detectives, plus one middle school week in June. Campers do hands-on desert natural history - meeting stingrays and chuckwallas, learning to grow agave, studying backyard plants - and get a water exploration day to cool off. The museum also offers a virtual camp week for ages 5-10. Prices start around $225 for members and $250 for non-members.
