Dayton Performing Arts Alliance
Private
The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance - the umbrella for the Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera and Dayton Philharmonic - runs BEBOP (Beginning Experiences in Ballet, Opera and Philharmonic), a week-long summer camp for children ages 8-10 held at Wright State University, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. Campers try improvisation and movement, learn how to use their singing voices, and see how orchestral instruments work and how the three art forms connect. The alliance's broader education programs reach roughly 65,000 children a year through field-trip concerts and in-school presentations.

We list only what the camp itself publishes, and programs change — dates, prices, ages and availability can all move after we check. Confirm the details on the camp’s own website and contact Dayton Performing Arts Alliance directly before you register or pay. Last checked August 2026.

Powered by GoogleThis is by far my favorite part of living in Dayton. I've been to the top stages in the world and I think Dayton Ohio is just as privileged to have DPAA right here. The performers are top-notch and the programs are always excellent. I love that they encourage youth to be involved. The $5 tickets and the DML tickets truly do make the Arts accessible to everyone. I enjoy the "Take Note" talks right before a concert and the Q&A afterwards... definitely take advantage of those when you can! It will make your experience even richer. Even the pieces that were "meh" to me the day before become ones I can't wait for and that I'm thrilled I saw/heard. I'm never disappointed with DPAA shows!
Consistently high quality performances of ballet, opera and philharmonic orchestra! Excellent customer service! Wonderful educational programs. They now offer free tickets through the library so you can “check out” a show. And $5 tickets are available for most performances. Highly recommend!
Date nights are a must here...even if your man complains. Take him anyway!
