David R. Meager Malta Community Center
Private
The Malta Community Center, run by the Town of Malta Parks, Recreation & Human Services, offers two municipal summer camps at 1 Bayberry Drive. Camp Malta is a full-day program for children entering kindergarten through 6th grade, with sports, crafts, games, movies, library and nature activities running late June through late August; a separate half-day Summer Recreation program (9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) serves kids entering K-9th over six weeks. Both are licensed by the New York State Health Department and enroll by the week.

Powered by GoogleWe love the Malta Community Center! They offer mom-and-me classes, kids' activities, adult-only events and more! The most kind staff too. Thank you for all that you do for the community!
I have enjoyed the MVP exercise program and the open gym in the mornings. I think the community center might consider keeping job listings for teens. It could be individuals looking for help with yard work, babysitting, gardening, help around the house, etc. Even local businesses might post job openings. It's difficult for young teens to find work.
We are so fortunate to live in a community that offers so many resources and opportunities. We have taken advantage of the holiday programs, half day summer camp, dance and yoga classes, etc. The Community Center staff are always helpful and professional. I can't speak highly enough about the amount and quality of programming offered.
The Malta Community Center is a clean, welcoming space that truly offers something for everyone. They provide a wide variety of activities for all ages, making it a great resource for the entire community. The staff are kind, supportive, and genuinely dedicated to helping others. I especially appreciate their willingness to work with individuals with cognitive disabilities, focusing on building life skills and fostering independence. It’s clear they care deeply about making a positive impact.
I love the community centers programs… the staff are always helpful. Facilities are clean. My kids did so many programs when they were younger there and now they are counselors at the day camp. Thank you Kristan for your leadership.
