Powered by GoogleWe were only at D1 Training for a few weeks, but the change in my son has been incredible. His energy, weight, strength, motivation to work out, and overall discipline have all improved tremendously. Sam, the GM, was amazing from the start—he got us set up and made the whole process easy. He’s the best. There were also two female trainers (I’m sorry I didn’t catch their names), but my son spoke very highly of them, and I’m truly grateful for the support they gave him. Honestly, I can’t thank you all enough. In fact, we’ll be back—because there’s still work to do! I’m even hoping my own schedule will allow me to join and get fit like my son. The pricing is more than reasonable, and they’re very understanding—if you ever need to adjust payments, just communicate with them. Sam will take care of you. Just like the steak sauce(A1) ...This place is D1 for sure !!!!! I appreciate all of you! Shante' Buckley
I thoroughly enjoy my morning 'Adult' class. The people have been so welcoming and the coach is on it! I get an amazing workout and leave every day ready to face the day. Thank you, D1!
DO NOT USE this place! Wish I could select NO STARS. We paid for 10 one-on-one sessions months ago, used one of them, then ghosts. Now we are trying to recoup our money, and they tell me we used 5 of the 10 sessions. The UTC player that was my son's trainer evidently put in the system that we were no shows for 4 sessions so he could get paid without doing the work. We have all the texts with the player/coach showing where he in fact was the no show for the sessions. One Sunday, we waited for over an hour for him to show, and nothing. No trainer. No employee in the building that day to help us out. Sam, the GM, is ducking my wife's calls and refuses to look into this. The employees we have spoken with are combative and argumentative and are accusing us of lying. I will get my money back - either peacefully, or in small claims court.
This gym has gone downhill since it was sold a couple years ago. Good trainers continue to be pushed out because the owners don’t think they’re worth paying enough to keep around. The GM of many years recently left because of how poorly the new owners take care of the facility. The majority of equipment is in various states of disrepair. They can’t even get enough resistance bands for a single class to not have to share. Recently they stopped turning on the lights during the day, probably because over half the bulbs are burnt out and they’ve been too cheap to repair them for months. Finally, the workouts themselves are also lacking. In recent months they’ve become focused on ridiculously high reps instead of increasing weight. If you enjoy sets of 20, 30, or sometimes even 50 (!) reps per movement then maybe this is the gym is for you. Workouts are also often repeated week to week which leaves them feeling stagnant and boring. If I wanted to do the same 5 workouts every week I could find that on YouTube.
I love working out at D1! I have worked out there in many seasons of life (newly wed, pregnant, and now after two babies!) and they have offered safe, effective, knowledgeable training that yields results. The coaches understand the importance of continual education and are always researching to make sure they are providing the best programming they can! D1 is not a place for fad workouts that come and go, but a place for quality training you can trust. I LOVE the community and people of D1 that help encourage me to push through the hard workouts and make working out fun!!
