It's important to keep our kids active and engaged in physical activity and the YMCA has various activities to choose from. The locations are also accessible since there are so many around town. The staff is very respectful and courteous at every location making it enjoyable to be there. We love the YMCA because everyone becomes a family.

The YMCA on 249 is an amazing place! There are so many different options and areas to work out — a great gym, pool, indoor track, and plenty of space to stay active no matter what your fitness level is. What really makes this place special is that they also have awesome classes and activities for kids. From computer and Roblox classes to karate and many other programs, there’s truly something for everyone. It makes it easy to bring the whole family and keep everyone active and learning. This is definitely a family-friendly place that I highly recommend. It’s a great environment, well-maintained, and full of opportunities for both adults and kids!

If you are looking to do swim lessons a do your child, I suggest you look elsewhere. I had to tall to them multiple times about the lack of actually teaching for our son, who could pretty much swim But needed coaching on how to do a proper swimming stroke. The instructor pretty much had him doing bubbles, and he learned zero skills. I emailed, called, even had another instructor come to instruct the instructor we had been assigned. Even offered to switch times, and ultimately nothing changed. We wasted a month of time and money on lessons, only to have the director and manager offer ONE free lesson, no offers for refunds. I felt I was even being overbearing and thinking my son could do more than he actually could. No, I was not wrong. We switched to a new instructor somewhere else. He did more in 30 minutes than he did in a month of lessons, confirming that they do NOT k know to teach kids to actually swim.

I’ve been a member at this gym for some time, but I’ve repeatedly experienced unprofessional management and staff. One persistent problem involves a gym member who routinely monopolizes 3–4 machines at a time, leaving weights on them and making them appear in use for long periods—sometimes over an hour—particularly between 6:00–8:00 PM. Despite multiple polite requests from myself and other members, this behavior continues unchecked. I have reported this issue to management, even providing camera footage and photos as evidence, yet no action has been taken to resolve it. On top of that, employees often don’t do their jobs in the afternoons, leaving members frustrated and without support. This lack of oversight and accountability makes workouts inefficient and unenjoyable. I do not recommend this gym. For comparison, EOS Gym has better and more professional management that ensures members have a fair and smooth workout experience.

McWilliams YMCA continues to impress on every level. The staff are incredibly welcoming and kind, creating a warm and inclusive environment that makes every visit a pleasure. The weight training equipment is superior, offering a wide variety of machines and free weights that cater to all fitness levels. Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned athlete, you'll find everything you need for a great workout. The facilities, including the pools, are exceptionally well maintained — clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed to support a wide range of activities. What truly sets this YMCA apart is its children’s facilities. They are well staffed and full of fun, engaging activities that keep kids entertained and active in a safe environment. It’s a fantastic place for families. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a supportive community, excellent amenities, and a place where both adults and children can thrive.
