I spent 2 weeks at CYO Camp during the summer of 1966. I was 10 years old and had the time of my life. A cabin full of 10 year olds. We played Capture The Flag in the woods, we made valuable works of art in the Arts and Crafts cabin. We hiked to Port Sanilac light house. We camped in the woods 1 night and listened to scary stories by the camp fire. It was a great time.

So many great memories as a child several years in cabins, woods, and then in tents. Beautiful property however that was 50 some years ago!

I stayed here in 1977. It was the best time, the best place, with the best people I was ever blessed with in my life. I made a macrame bracelet, homemade candle, learned archery, swam, had races, contests!!! It truly was the best time of my life and I still till this day at 60 years old from 13 can still sing the CYO CAMP SONG.. Boys had one campsite, girls had separate grounds down the road. Boys and Girls did not camp together I hope can one day see it again ❤️ GOD BLESS EVERYONE who was involved in making the kids time there the best 🙏

I learned this at CYO as a small black boy in the early-mid 1970s. RIP, Dennis Moses. I am the music cantor, I come from Slavic Lander. Econ speelah. Econ speelah. I’m the viola. (Pretend to play a violin.) I’m the viola. Vio, vio, viola, viola, viola. Vio, vio, viola, vio, viola. Hey!

Went here when I was kid back in the 70’s. Looks the same. Brought back some good memories.
