The Art Center is a long time beloved part of the artist community and the neighborhood. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The gallery is enjoyable to walk through. An intimate and relaxed atmosphere with a variety of shows throughout the year. I especially enjoy the Whiskey Painters exhibition. The classes are reasonably priced and the classrooms are comfortable. The instructors I have taken classes with have all been amazing. I have been going to Beth’s ceramics class for a year and I never get tired of it. She is patient and incredibly knowledgeable. Wednesday evenings are a joyful creative time I know I can count on in a stressful world. I’m about to start a watercolor class as well. I know it will be a great experience and the cost of a class is a gift worth giving myself. It’s my therapy.
Had the 100 Pottery class with Amanda, and it was fantastic! She is such a great instructor and so talented. Loved everything about it.
I took a ceramic class at CVAC with Amanda Bacon and she is wonderful! She teaches with patience and optimism. The studio space was really well lit and cozy. I also really liked that the throwing wheels and tables were low to the ground — which made it much easier to handle the clay. I very much enjoyed the workshop lessons and highly recommend Amanda and the art center.
I took a ceramics hand building class with Amanda Bacon and enjoyed it so much. The Center is professional and friendly, the class was warm, flexible and educational. Amanda creates an environment that meets students where they are at, ishe is both encouraging and informative. I come from an academic background and really loved how this class was fun and free, as well as very educational. Thanks Amanda and CVAC!
