Powered by GoogleThis was our first visit to this location. Our local YMCA was having HVAC issues, so we decided to stop by this one on the way to an outing. The customer service was awesome! The facility and restrooms were clean and the cafe was a plus! We’ll definitely be back.
They consistently have system issues even after getting a "new system". The staff doesnt know how to work it. How do you not have an option to pay off a camp in advance??? Completely not with the times!
This is a very nice facility the staff are very friendly that offers afterschool care and camps that include arts and crafts, fun activities to keep the kids engaged, picnics in the near by park group activities and more with trustworthy staff.I Love the variety of equipment. They offer swim lessons and the pool is always nice and clean. It's easy to get a membership started that's great if you live or work near the area
Adult pick-up basketball on Sat has a jacked up sign-up process. It's not first-come-first-on-the-list- regardless how early you arrive. It's a good-ole-boy sign-up process where some people in the gym are signing up other people who aren't even in the gym yet. You might be 5 teams down on the wait-list when there's not even 10 people in the gym yet and no one has even started playing!!! That's what happened to me twice now. Doesn't happen at Sanders Y. Go elsewhere besides Cowart Y if you want to ACTUALLY PLAY adult pick-up basketball.
Gym is clean and not crowded at any time. Staff are friendly. If you have kids, the play center is amazing with wonderful teachers that will care for your kids. However, the 2 stars Unfortunately for the mismanaged swim class for kids. We signed up for private swimming classes for our preschooler’s and we have 2 different coaches ghosted us without any notice. We will come on time (and God's know what it takes to prepare a preschooler for a class on Sunday!!) for staff to casually tells us that no coaches are here, TWICE in 3 weeks!! Swimming classes are not structured and they didnt meet with you to share with you expectations, plans, methods, feedback, advices, None of that! Sorry for harsh feedback YMCA, but swimming classes for kids are the last thing to be mismanaged!
