Cottonwood Gulch Expeditions is a nonprofit overnight/expedition summer camp whose 'Gulch' base is near Thoreau in northwestern New Mexico, leading backpacking and hiking treks across the American Southwest for youth roughly ages 8 to 18. Programs combine wilderness travel with hands-on natural science, cultural exploration, and place-based education, with age-tiered treks of increasing length and challenge. (Oh and it’s LGBTQ+ friendly 🏳️🌈, and accepting of all religions!) And transportation to to the gulch is easy and covered too, last time I went we met at the sunport so very convenient for the people in the ABQ area! The cabins are separated and the staff make you feel safe and accepted, trust me. Sometimes you need to unplug from your devices and backpack and just explore the beauty of our state. Love the gulch for me 10/10 would go again! 💖

I attended a company meeting there and enjoyed all the amenities . small cabins for excellent the people that work there are there for your needs and you can tell that they really enjoy their job . The trails lead through the forest and different areas they are simply beautiful and peaceful. they were about 25 people in our group and we were completely taken care of . parking is good and directions they're very good. I suggest you to go and check this out , you will enjoy every moment.
