Driving in I saw nice play areas for the children There are a lot of shelters with picnic benches and grills. The creek is so beautiful. I especially enjoyed the swinging benches and benches for sitting and quiet reflection. There are Porto potties and other restrooms to use. No running water to wash hands but there is hand sanitizer. Update: I went back to visit the Nature Center. This is truly a gem of a park. They have a lot of animals and staff members with knowledge. They don't just have animals to have them. They educate. My favorite was the greenhouse built for the tortoise!! The trails around the nature center are equally beautiful!!
★★★★★Melanie HWhat a fun nature center! Took my 3 kids ages 5, 3, and 8 months and they loved the animals and wildlife viewing area. Of course the huge tortoise was everyone's favorite! The staff is very friendly and helpful, the restroom is spacious and clean, everywhere we looked there was more to see and do. Stopped at the wonderful playground on our way out. Can't wait to check out the trails next time!
