Conductive Education Center of Orlando Summer Camp
CECO's summer camp is a specialised day program in Winter Park for children and adults with neurological motor disabilities such as cerebral palsy, run by the nonprofit Conductive Education Center of Orlando. It uses conductive education — an intensive approach combining physical, cognitive and social-emotional work, paired with traditional special education strategies — and runs as two four-week sessions, Monday to Friday 9:00am–2:00pm, with an extended-day option to 4:00pm. The centre runs early intervention programs for ages 0–5, youth programs for ages 5–18 and adult programs for 18+, keeps a low student-to-staff ratio and incorporates each student's assistive technology into their program. Enrollment requires an application, a consultation call and a complimentary assessment that produces a placement recommendation; funding is available to families who qualify and tuition is quoted during enrollment.
