I am disappointed in the uncaring policies towards the income qualified membership in the name of fairness. In order to qualify for reduced price membership, you must fall underneath the income based on the prior year's tax return. The problem with this policy is that it fails to consider financial changes between last year and this year. My employment ended last September, which meant my income went down to zero. I started working again in February, but our income is so low we are still on SNAP and MEDICAID. However, we still don't qualify for income-qualified benefits because my gross income for last year is $786 more than the income qualified threshold. I reached out to Member Services to see if there could be an exception made, but they told me that "we strive to maintain equitable and fair policies for all of our members and we must apply these policies consistently." The problem is that this policy of only looking at the prior year's tax return is not fair and equitable for anyone. They claim to follow federal government guidelines, and yet even federal government programs take into account major financial situations in order to be fair and equitable.

Where do I begin. I recently endured an extremely anxiety-inducing situation at the Supreme gym facility where another member (picture is included) nearly physically assaulted and verbally abused me. The employees at this location sided with the hostile gym member (later on in the altercation the gym member made it obvious that she has an external friendship with the supervisor, Sarah Claunts). Sarah Claunts, the day time gym supervisor, spoke to me in a condescending and sarcastic manner while I explained to her the situation. Long story short: I played music softly (emphasis on softly because the volume was less than halfway on) while warming up in an open workout studio. The hostile gym member was on the opposite end of the room doing their workout. As soon as they heard my music, they immediately started screaming "NO NO TURN YOUR MUSIC OFF I AM NOT GOING TO HEAR IT". Considering the individual was so hostile, I ignored them and turned my music down. The individual then began to approach me while saying "IM SPEAKING ENGLISH DONT YOU UNDERSTAND ENGLISH?! TURN IT OFF". At this point, the individual was now hovering over me while I sat on the ground, all while they clenched their fist and screamed so aggressively I even felt spit come out of their mouth. I explained this situation to the staff, even recorded the situation, and all they could say was delete the footage and don't play music or record ANYTHING/ANYONE in our facility. I immediately sent an email to Columbia association explaining and they could not even apologize for the way I was treated. All they asked was to speak on the phone. I said I wanted to speak through email and they did not want to continue investigating this matter. Attached are photos of the obvious hostile member and how close they were to hitting me. I don't know how else to go about this matter besides warning other people to avoid Columbia in its entirety.

I’ve gone to this gym for a long time. Even worked here for a year or two. I’ve had great experiences here up until this year. my car was broken into along with 5 others were broken in the same night. Nothing was stolen but I was informed by the officer that this was not the first time this happened at this gym. I reached out to the manager of the gym and they said they wouldn’t take any action to promote safety of their guests. All in all, I pay the same as I would for a Lifetime Gym membership. Safe to say I will be switching over. Update: As a result of the break-in at this gym, my stolen driver’s license was later used to cash approximately $5,000 in fraudulent checks against my bank account. This created a significant financial and administrative burden that I am still dealing with. While I understand criminal activity is not directly caused by the gym, the lack of response or proactive safety measures after multiple vehicles were broken into on their property made an already serious situation worse. This further reinforces my decision to cancel my membership and move to a facility that prioritizes member safety.

I called to ask about membership and the experience was terrible. The young lady who answered was rude and condescending. If this is how you treat people who are interested, I would not want to be part of this.

I got a gift card for Haven spa right before the pandemic. The spa closed shortly after. I wished I would have disputed with the credit card company but instead I was informed that I would be able to used it on other CA facilities. I have tried many times, at the pools but they were closed, at the mini golf but they were having a private event. It cannot be used towards purchasing the membership, or at the turn house restaurant. I don’t golf or ice skate and my options turned out to be limiting and it has been nothing but frustration.
